Our Commitment to You

Nur Labs apps are built on these principles:

  • Always Free — our core apps are free, built as sadaqah jariyah
  • No Ads — your worship space is sacred, never interrupted
  • Privacy-First — we collect zero personal data
  • No Accounts — no sign-ups, no logins, just open and use
  • Authentic Islamic Content — sourced from trusted scholarly references

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any Nur Labs application ("Apps"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Apps. These Terms apply to all Nur Labs apps: Nur, DhikrFlow, and Nur Radio.

2. Description of Services

Nur Labs develops free Islamic apps for the Muslim community:

Nur — Prayer Times & Qibla

Accurate prayer times with multiple calculation methods, Qibla compass, tasbih counter, prayer tracking, home screen widgets, and Apple Watch support.

DhikrFlow — Dhikr & Remembrance

Guided dhikr tracking with the 99 Names of Allah, customizable goals, streak tracking, and daily reminders to keep you connected.

Nur Radio — Quran Stations

Over 50 Quran radio stations featuring renowned reciters, with sleep timer, background playback, favorites, and iCloud sync across devices.

3. Important Disclaimers

Prayer Times: Prayer times displayed in Nur are calculated approximations based on mathematical models and your location. They should be used as a helpful guide. Always verify prayer times with your local mosque or Islamic center, especially during important occasions.

Islamic Content: The Islamic content in our apps (adhkar, duas, 99 Names of Allah) is sourced from authentic references. However, our apps are tools to assist your worship and are not a substitute for scholarly guidance. Please consult qualified scholars for religious rulings and guidance.

4. Free Service

All Nur Labs apps are free to download and use. They are built as sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity) for the Muslim community.

  • No subscriptions or recurring fees
  • No paywalled features
  • No advertisements

Nur offers optional cosmetic in-app purchases (themes and icon packs) to support development. These are entirely optional and do not affect functionality.

5. User Responsibilities

When using our Apps, you agree to:

  • Use the Apps in accordance with Islamic principles and their intended purpose
  • Verify prayer times with your local mosque, especially for important prayers
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Apps
  • Not use the Apps for any unlawful or harmful purpose
  • Not redistribute or resell the Apps or their content

6. Intellectual Property

The Apps' code, design, icons, and branding are protected by copyright and are the property of Nur Labs.

Quranic text, hadith, and traditional adhkar are part of the Islamic heritage and belong to the ummah. We make no proprietary claims over this sacred content.

Nur Radio streams audio from mp3quran.net. The Quran recitations are provided by their respective reciters and are subject to mp3quran.net's terms.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep our Apps running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service:

  • Nur & DhikrFlow work entirely offline — no internet required for core features
  • Nur Radio requires an internet connection for streaming and depends on mp3quran.net's server availability
  • App updates are distributed through the Apple App Store
  • We may discontinue or modify features at our discretion, though we aim to always improve

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nur Labs shall not be held liable for:

  • Missed prayers due to inaccurate prayer time calculations
  • Errors in prayer time estimations or Qibla direction
  • Accuracy of Islamic content (always verify with scholars)
  • Data loss from device issues, app deletion, or OS updates
  • Interruption of radio streaming services
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our Apps are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

9. Updates and Changes

We regularly release free updates to improve our Apps with new features, bug fixes, and performance improvements.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when changes are made. Continued use of our Apps after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

10. Termination

  • By you: You can stop using our Apps at any time by simply deleting them from your device. No cancellation process needed.
  • By us: We reserve the right to restrict access to our Apps for users who violate these Terms, though this is extremely unlikely given our apps don't require accounts or collect data.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. We believe in resolving matters amicably and fairly.
